What is CanSat?

CanSat is a contest hosted in countries all around the world, where teams of six high-school students plan, design, and build a can-sized satellite. The challenge lies in its size; Students must fit major components, such as a battery, sensors, and a communication system, into a small satellite. After passing the three design stages, the satellites are launched approximately a kilometer into the sky. That is when the satellites begin their mission. They measure temperature, atmospheric pressure, and fulfill the secondary mission designed by the team.
